Youth goes under 'rath', dies

A youth was killed when he came under the wheels of the 'rath' carrying deities during the "Bahuda Yatra", the return car festival of Lord Jagannath, at Jagannathpur of West Singhbhum district today.
Superintendent of Police Michael Raj S said Ramdeo Lohar (22) wanted to pull the ropes of the rath but fell down and came under the 'rath'.
He was taken to a hospital in Champua in adjoining Odisha, where he succumbed to his injuries, the SP said.
