Youth held at Goa airport for smuggling gold

A 22-year-old youth from Kerala was today detained at the Goa airport for allegedly smuggling gold in the country from Middle East, Customs officials said today.
Asif (full name not disclosed) was detained for carrying 300 grams of gold worth Rs seven lakh.
The gold was found in a paper foil in the possession of the man, a senior Customs official said.
The youth, originally from Kasargod in Kerala, arrived at the airport here this morning from Dubai when he was apprehended.
