Subhankar Das, a guard at a multi-storied apartment building in Malda town, who was held from Ramnagar on the outskirts of Malda town, was being interrogated by the English Bazar Police here to gather information on whether he alone sent the text messages to the minister, some of which were life-threatening, or others were involved.
The police said Das would be produced in a Malda court tomorrow after which a formal statement would be issued.
The minister had been receiving the threatening messages for the last 10 days and reported the matter to the English Bazar Police Station, they said.
