The victim, Gajender, had allegedly established illicit relationship with Kamla and her daughter Moni, police said.
Mohit, son of Kamla, was against their relationship. He with the help of two other people shot dead Gajendra yesterday and dumped the body in a canal, Station House Officer of Mirapur police station, Arun Kumar Tyagi said.
Acting on the complaint filed by victim's brother, police have registered a case against Kamla, Moni, Mohit, and two others-Bhura and Gautav.
No arrest has been made so far and the matter is being investigated.
