The incident occurred yesterday when six armed men opened fire at Ravi (22), who died on the spot, and injuring three others, they said.
A case has been registered against six persons, SSP Manzil Saini said, adding two of the accused have been arrested in this connection.
Land dispute is being attributed as the motive behind the murder.
