Kalandar Mohideen (28) of Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu's Sivagnagai district was arrested for possessing a second passport under a fake identity, police said.
He had arrived from Riyadh on Thursday.
"The details (about his fake passport) was informed by a relative involved in a family dispute through fax to immigration authorities," they said.
Immigration authorities handed over Mohideen to police and he was later remanded to 15 days of judicial custody, police added.
