The incident happened last night when Mohsin was on his way to home from his shop in Modipuram, accompanied by his brother Shaukeen. The accused stopped Mohsin, who was on his bike and stabbed him multiple times after confirming his name, police said.
Shaukeen managed to flee the spot, they said.
Agitated over the incident, locals blocked the Dairala-Lavad road with Mohsin's body, police said, adding, the angry mob also damaged several vehicles, including a police jeep.
An FIR has been registered against unidentified persons, police said, adding, the investigation into the case is on.
