Youth stabs girl to death in Rajouri

A 20-year-old girl was today stabbed to death by her alleged lover in Chingus village of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The accused identified as Ashish Kumar (25) stabbed Deepika as they were travelling in a public vehicle, they said.
"The eyewitnesses said that they were sitting in a public vehicle, when the boy suddenly stabbed the girl in her chest," a police officer from Rajouri told PTI.
"The girl bled to death on the spot. The police team reached the spot and arrested the accused," the officer said.
However, he said that preliminary investigations have revealed that the two had a love affair.

Agitated locals blocked the road and held protests demanding severe punishment for the accused.
