Youths assault 2 policemen

In a yet another attack on police in an alleged case of road rage, two police officials were assaulted by three youths following a scuffle at Tughlak Road in New Delhi today evening.
The accused identified as Punit Kamal (24), Deepak Sharma (25) and Pankaj Sharma (26) were arrested after being booked under relevant sections of the IPC.
According to police, the incident reportedly took place around 7 PM, when the three accused travelling in a Tata Indica car which was at a high speed had almost rammed into a DTC bus and were stopped by the driver of the bus after that.

"The DTC driver started scolding the occupants of the car for driving in a negligent manner during heavy traffic hours, which soon turned into a heated argument.
"The two police men were among the passengers in the bus. They deboarded and attempted to pacify them when the accused allegedly started misbehaving with them. They also resorted to verbal abuse," said SBS Tyagi, Additional Commissioner of Police (New Delhi).
The police men are posted in the security department. The three accused work in a private firm at Gurgaon and were heading towards office when the incident happened.
