Chagallamarri Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) member Mastan Vali, who was on the run for the past several days after being named in a case of red sanders smuggling where 34 logs were seized in Kurnool last month, was today arrested, said Kurnool district Superintendent of Police A Ravi Krishna.
Vali was allegedly involved in 20 criminal cases and Preventive Detention (PD) Act had been invoked against him earlier, the SP said, adding he got bail recently and again resumed red sanders smuggling.
