Zaheer sat out of Delhi's previous two matches against against Hyderabad Sunrisers and Kings XI Punjab. Karun Nair had captained the side in his absence.
The left-arm pacer had pulled his hamstring during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 28.
"We continue to monitor Zaheer Khan on a day to day basis," the team said in a statement.
Delhi are currently sixth in the points table with three wins from nine matches.
