The duo, who partnered India's successful 2011 World Cup campaign, was undergoing training at Brive La Gaillarde, France to get back into shape. The focus of the training was on building strength and endurance levels.
They were being coached by a well-known high performance physical trainer, Tim Exeter, who has worked with the likes of Manchester United star Ryan Giggs and other top rugby players.
With Indian selectors backing a young squad for the next World Cup in 2015, both Yuvraj and Zaheer will have to regain their form soon to stake a claim for a national berth.
For the duo, a lot would depend on the coming season as the current Indian team looks a compact unit given their recent successful campaigns in England and the West Indies.
Both Zaheer and Yuvraj were dropped from the national team due to combination of indifferent form and fitness. Their listless performance in the last IPL didn't do them much favour either.
