Zayn Malik confirms engagement to Perrie Edwards

One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik and longtime girlfriend Perrie Edwards have got engaged.
Speculation surrounding the union stemmed from the boyband's This Is Us world premiere last night, when Perrie was spotted wearing a ring, reported Digital Spy.
Confirming the engagement, the Little Mix star's mother Deborah said, "Yes, it's true. They got engaged on Sunday and it's absolutely lovely. It's wonderful because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous and Perrie loves him to pieces. It's just perfect and they get on so well together. It's just fabulous."
Edwards' brother Jonnie also offered his congratulations to the pair on Twitter, writing, "Right, My sister and Zayn ARE Engaged! It's true! You seen the ring on the finger and all that jazz! CONGRATS!!!"

Malik and Edwards have been dating since early 2012 following Little Mix's win on The X Factor during the 2011 series.
One Direction and Little Mix's spokesperson said, "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private.
