Zinc prices eased further by 0.28 per cent to Rs 210.30 per kg in futures market today as speculators busy in reducing exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June declined by 60 paise, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 210.30 per kg in business turnover of 581 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in July was trading lower by 50 paise, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 210.20 per kg in 13 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on the back of easing demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly kept zinc prices lower at futures trade.
