The 35-year-old actress married Italian artist Marco Perego in June this year, but she announced their wedding six months later, reported Contactmusic.
"I love what I do so much, but I love my personal life more. I realised through the years of being in this business that the only way to maintain some kind of sanity is to protect that which is most dear to you, which is your life and everyone that's in it," Saldana said.
The actress, whose previous high profile relationship with actor Bradley Cooper lasted just over a year in 2012, also revealed that the top secret wedding had taken place in London.
