India to set up debt management office

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said on Monday he would propose setting up a non-statuary public debt management office that could start from fiscal 2014/15.

Chidambaram was presenting an interim budget to tide public finances over until a new government is formed after elections due by May.
