NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's annual consumer price inflation rate eased to 7.31 percent in June, the lowest since the government started releasing the data in 2012, helped by moderating food prices, government data showed on Monday.
A Reuters poll had forecast the consumer price inflation rate would moderate to 7.95 percent in June from 8.28 percent in the previous month.
Consumer food price inflation, under a new series published by the government, eased in June to 7.97 percent from 9.56 percent in May.
