Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and Nifty edged lower on Tuesday tracking weak global cues and as investors chose to book profits in recent outperformers.
The BSE Sensex was down 0.06 percent while the Nifty fell 0.1 percent at 10:12 a.m.
Shares in ITC Ltd were down 0.5 percent while Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd shed 0.99 percent.
However, losses were limited as Sun Pharmaceutical Industries gained 1.5 percent and Ranbaxy Laboratories was up 2.7 percent after the Competition Commission of India approved Sun's $3.2 billion bid to buy Ranbaxy.Markets across Asia were down tracking weak cues from Wall Street.
