Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and Nifty rose on Wednesday, tracking higher Asian equities on speculation the U.S. Federal Reserve will stick to its pledge of keeping rates low.
The benchmark BSE Sensex was trading up 0.64 percent while the Nify was 0.65 percent higher as of 10:45 a.m.
Market sentiment was also boosted after China injected $81 billion into major banks.
Exporters were leading the gains.
Shares in Infosys gained 1.41 percent while Dr.Reddy's Laboratories was 1.35 percent higher.
