CICU to organise its first mega engineering exhibition

To assist the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the Ludhiana-based Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) will organise its first mega engineering expo - International Engineering Technology & Sourcing Show or IETSS-EMAT 2013 - in Ludhiana from November 29 to December 2.

The exhibition will feature participation by over 300 exhibitors from India and abroad, including from countries such as Japan, China, Germany and Yemen. It is also expected to attract 40,000-50,000 visitors.

The focus sectors of the show will be machine tools, hand tools, sheet metal components, auto parts, tractor parts, bicycle parts, sewing machine parts, fasteners, agro engineering products, power tool and other engineering goods.

According to Upkar Singh, a CICU official, the main purpose of the event is to showcase products manufactured in Punjab and help companies acquire the latest technology from the outside world.

He said sourcing teams from Punjab-based Sonalika Tractors and other tractor manufacturing companies had confirmed their participation in the event. Besides, purchase managers from prominent auto components manufacturers throughout India and key foreign companies will be participating in the show.
