The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a traded volume of Rs 364.69 crore to which the treasury bills segment contributed Rs 130 crore. The corporate debenture segment witnessed 270 trades and accounted for a volume of Rs 37.24 lakh.
There were two repo deals amounting to Rs 30 crore. Trades were done for a term of 11-12 days at the rate of 10.70 per cent and 10.40 per cent respectively.
The 364-days treasury bill maturing on April 24 was in demand contributing a volume of Rs 70 crore. The paper was traded at a weighted average yield of 12.86 per cent, for a low of Rs 97.75, touched a high of Rs 97.82 before closing at Rs 97.77. A certificate of deposit of ICICI maturing on June 6 was traded for Rs 4 crore at the weighted yield of 13.96 per cent for Rs 96.04.
The 11.50 per cent government loan maturing in 2005 was traded for Rs 30 crore at the weighted average yield of 12.23 per cent.
The paper was traded for a high of Rs 95.50 and closed at a low of Rs 95.18. The 13.40 per cent gilt maturing in 1999 was traded for Rs 30 crore at the weighted average yield of Rs 12.05 per cen.
