Coromandel International net dips 28%

Coromandel International Limited, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of fertilisers and crop protection products, reported a 27.59 per cent decrease in net profit to Rs 115.05 crore for the first quarter ended June 2012, as against Rs 158.89 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Net income stood at Rs 1,854.54 crore as compared with Rs 1,796.40 crore during the corresponding previous quarter, registering a 3.24-per cent growth. Total expenditure increased 6.41 per cent to Rs 1,660.71 crore in the quarter from Rs 1,560.58 crore a year ago.
