Indians consume the least amount of soft drinks (despite the heavy advertising) as compared to the rest of the world. Health and pressure from government policies have kept the levels low, although there have been sporadic efforts to drive growth in rural areas in recent years. But that too has met with tepid response according to Nielsen’s What’s bubbling up in India’s soft drink market?
