Hindustan Zinc To Erect Power Plant

Hindustan Zinc Ltd and the Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd plan to set up a 100 mw power plant near Udaipur in Rajasthan, HZL said yesterday. A statement from HZLs headquarters at Udaipur said the two companies had signed a memorandum of understanding to set up the $92 million project. The plant is likely to be operational in 1999. Reuter
