India, Us Considering 10-Year Visas

India and the United States are considering visas with validity of 10 years to encourage frequent visits with a view to promoting business and tourism.
Minister of state for external affairs Saleem Iqbal Shervani said, The Indian passport, as it is, has a life of 10 years. The longer duration visas could be for business and tourist visitors from either country, he said.
The 10-year visa would also ease the pressure on embassies of both countries, Shervani added.
The Indian government, he said, was also considering the orange card
