Foreign institutional investors were major sellers during the September quarter. They net-sold shares worth Rs 17,300 crore. Domestic institutions, which include mutual funds (MFs) and insurance companies, provided crucial buying support. MFs alone were net buyers by Rs 24,640 crore.
