The recent realignment of Congress forces under its president Sitaram Kesri and the disgruntled mood in the Left camp spells danger for the UF government. There is no government on the economic front and decisions by the Centre are going haywire.
The bubble of petroleum price hike may burst any time. A non-political entity like Manmohan Singh has shown resentment over the policies framed by Mr Chidambaram. It is surprising. that the Congress and the Left have not yet withdrawn support.
It is time the Congress formed its own government at the Centre. Mulayam Singh Yadavs Samajwadi Party, Kanshi Rams Bahujan Samaj Party, independents and others can install Mr Kesri as the prime minister. He must move before the next Budget as India needs policies framed by Manmohan Singh.
