Non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus: controlled at present on oral hypoglycemic drugs.
Coronary artery disease: he underwent coronary artery bypass surgery for unstable angina and triple vessel disease in July 1990. He has been periodically screened with exercise thallium studies.
The latest was performed in October 1995, which revealed normal exercise tolerance and abnormal thallium - 201 image consistent with exercise induced ischemia in the inferior wall region. There was no significant change in this finding as compared to the previous study of February 1992. His left ventricular function has been assessed periodically (echocardiography/radionuclide studies) and the last muga study was done in 1996.
Essential hypertension: detected in 1990 and controlled through drugs.
Cerebrovascular disease: had transient ischemic attacks (sensory) during February-April 1994. Subsequently treated.
He also has lumbar and cervical spondylosis.
