Reuters To Move Business To Internet Based Model

REUTERS, THE information and news group is getting ready to shift its core business to an Internet-based model. Speaking to The Hindustan Times, Mr Jan Coos Geesink, Managing Director, Asia Pacific stated that by moving to the new medium, Reuters will be able to bring its information and news products to a wider audience. The online service will be provided free for a week after which subscribers will be charged.
There will be two aspects to the service: creating and aggregating content said Mr Coos Geesink. Reuters will continue to provide unique content which the end-user will value, he added.
