The Seventh Central Pay Commission spent 94 days (close to a quarter of its working days) meeting various stakeholders and expert groups. The Justice Ashok Mathur-headed panel went to various parts of the country - from Shillong to Mumbai to Port Blair. It even went Down Under to study best practices in government organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
