The tourism committee of Associated Chambers of Com- merce & Industry (Assocham) is holding a one-day conference on travel and tourism on September 11. It will be inaugurated by Union minister for tourism Srikanta Kumar Jena.
The conference will deal with subjects like creating awareness, building infrastructure and marketing. It will be attended by several experts including secretaries in the tourism ministry.
M P Bezbaruah, Himachal Pradesh minister for tourism & civil aviation Vijay Singh Mankotia and Lok Sabha member Madhavrao Scindia.will also participate in the meet.

The technical sessions will deal with subjects like Boom global tourism: Is India aware; Infrastructure: The backbone of tourism; and Marketing India: Are we effective.
The technical sessions will be addressed by experts like Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation chairman Gaj Singh, Indian Airlines deputy managing director J R D Rua, and Ravi Bhoothalingam of the Oberoi Group of Hotels.
