Trojan Technologies has launched the first in a range of indigenously-produced electronic security systems targeted at individuals, homes and institutions.

The company plans to reach out to other parts of the country from May 1998. The range of security systems include gas leakage detectors, intrusion sensors, wide-angle door viewers, luggage alarms, bike and car alarms, a high-voltage security bag, remote video surveillance over telephone lines, fingerprint identification, anti-shop lifting devices and custom-designed integrated systems to monitor whole complexes.

Managing director, A K Sachidanandam said the company will also offer a central monitoring station (CMS) service to all owners of the integrated security system (ISS) which acts like an electronic fortress. A survey conducted by the company showed a Rs 500 crore security products market in India, growing at a rapid pace of 50 per cent with electronic security systems having a 10 per cent market share.

The company has projected a turnover of around Rs 10 crore in the coming years by launching these products. Trojan said it planned to leverage on its R&D to come out with more sophisticated systems in future.
