Although Rashid Khan played the crucial role in dismissing the key batters to send the Lucknow team packing, other bowlers had also made his way a bit easy by picking up wickets from the other end. Hence, Shubman Gill, who was the only batter among the 17 that got the chance to bat on that dry surface, to score a fifty was awarded the Player of the Match. He scored a brilliant 63* off 49 balls to take his team to a competitive total of 144-4 in 20 overs. He carried his bat through.
