Chasing a total of 170, the start was not ideal for Hyderabad as they lost the wickets of Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma early. Rahul Tripathi then got along with Aiden Markram and added 44 for the third wicket before Markram was dismissed.
A total of 48 runs were then added by Pooran and Washington Sundar to take their team as close to win as needing just 27 off 17 balls before Pooran was out of a full toss.
From then on, it became difficult fro Hyderabad as Romario Shepherd and Washington Sundar could not finish the game when 16 was needed of the last 6 balls and lost the match by 12 runs as they were reduced to 157-9 in their 20 overs
Earlier in the evening, Lucknow too did not have a great start and lost 27-3 before Deepak Hooda and KL Rahul added 87 off just 62 balls to get the game going. In the end thanks to the fifties from both of them a and great last over by Holder and Badoni, the Super Giants finished at 169-7

Avesh was rightly adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant performance where he took 4-24 off his four overs and bowled the brilliant 17th over where he got Nicholas Pooran and Abdul Samad on back-to-back balls changing the game on its head.

Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered yet another defeat as they were beaten by Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs in a closely contested last-over thriller at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. This was the second defeat in as many games for the team from Hyderabad while Lucknow won its second game in a row having lost their season opener against fellow newbies Gujarat Giants.

Ball 4- Wicket!! Wow now Avesh has gone Abdul Samad as it was on the good lenbgth and he went for the drive and got the edge and QDK took an easy catch and SRH now 143-6 with 27 still needed of 14

Ball 1- This has hit directly as Sundar plays it straight to the fielder and runs with it, the decision has been sent upstairs and the replay shows that he has made the crease easily and a single is taken
Ball 2- In the blockhole goes Tye and Pooran digs it out for a single
Ball 3- In the blockhole once again and dug out by Sundar for a single again
Ball 4- Short ball and Had Pooran stood his ground he could have played better but it was pre-meditated and he went for the ramp and couldn’t get bat on ball
Ball 5- Only a single and this has been a great 17th over as so far only four runs have come of it
Ball 6- Four!! And Washi Sundar here releases the pressure with his great drive over the extra cover to find the gap for four runs

Ball 3- This is impossible bowling from Bishnoi as he is bowling quick googlies and the batter is just unable to get them away and here is a review for a stumping. The umpire checks for ultra edge first and there is no connection between bat and ball and the side-on angle says the foot is grounded and Sundar survives
Ball 4- Plays in the gap and the batters will take two runs and play Bishnoi easy

Ball 6- Four!! Wow... this is just a brilliant drive as Pooran find the gap and gets it for four to extra cover

But this time around he was just not in the position to do it as his body was moving while playing the host and there is no power behind it and Ayush Badoni at short fine leg takes a good catch to send the SRH captain packing
