Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | India win big

Bangladeshi chase never got going as they lost two wickets in the Powerplay and made only 19 runs, the lowest by any team in the Powerplay in this World Cup. However, even after the powerplay, their miserable run with the bat continued as they lost five wickets for 35 runs. Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal then added 40 for the sixth wicket, the only notable contribution with the bat. Post the breakup of that partnership, it was curtains as India hurriedly finished the Bangladeshi innings at 119

Salma top scored with 32. While Sneh picked four wickets, Jhulan Goswami and Pooja Vastrakar picked two each and one wicket each went to Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Poonam Yadav

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ind Win- Yastika Bhatia Player of the Match

Though it is hard to understand that Sneh Rana was not chosen as Player of the Match even after her brilliant showing with both bat and ball. But Yastika Bhatia was also a good choice for Player of the Match given that she steadied the ship when India lost three back to back wickets and also scored a fifty to add on to a fifty from her last game, showing consistency with the bat.

Sneh Ran starred in the victory with her all-around show of 4/30 with the ball and 27 off 23 balls with the bat. Other notable contributions came from Yastika Bhatia and Pooja Vastrakar

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 119-10 | Over 40.3- Jhulan finishes it off

Although Sneh Rana could not take a five-wicket haul, but India have finished the Bangladeshi innings for 119 and won this game by a huge margin of 110 runs to set themselves up for a berth in the semi-finals. They would now need to put a solid show against South Africa in their final league match on March 27, 2022

12:47 PM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 100-8 | Over 35- Sneh Rana Strikes

The Bangladeshi team now lose its 8th wicket as an off-spinner from Sneh Rana has hit Faheema Khatun full on the pads as she misses the ball while trying to sweep. The umpire has no hesitation in raising the fingers as Bangladesh go for the review. Review is lost by Bangladesh as the ball pitches in line, impacts in line and wickets are hitting

12:40 PM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 100-7 | Over 34- Bangladesh touch 100

12:38 PM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 98-7 | Over 32.5- Lata Mondal gone

This is once again a soft dismissal as Lata Mondal, in her attempt to keep getting the runs, hits the full toss straight to the hands of Harmanpreet Kaur. She had hit a four just a ball before. She goes for 24 as Bangladesh are now 7 down for 98

12:18 PM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 76-6 | Over 28-Jhulan breaks through

With the partnership between Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal going to 40 runs, Mithali Raj brought in her prime bowler in Jhulan Goswami. She bowled a slower bouncer and Salma Khatun went nudging for it and got an edge which was taken easily by the wicket-keeper Richa Ghosh to give India its sixth wicket

12:09 PM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 75-5 | Over 27-Salma-Lata take charge

The Bangladeshi air of Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal has been going well for half an hour or so as the two have added 40 for the sixth wicket in only 58 balls and have together hit five fours while the rest of the batters combined could hit only two. Tey might not get close, but if they go along for next 10 overs, they can get Bangladesh to a respectable total

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 55-5 | Over 22-Sneh Rana is indeed

11:42 AM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 50-5 | Over 20- Fifty up for Bangladesh

Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal have been aggressive in their approach with the former even hitting two fours, ending the drought of boundaries for her team. Now they have crossed the 50 run mark and the two women at the case have to play a whole lot of overs to make a match out of this

11:32 AM

Live | IND W vs BAN W | Women's World Cup | Ban 35-5 | Over 17.1

And here we have, the fifth wicket of the Bangladesh team has fallen as Rumana Ahmed goes for just two runs and Sneh Rana gets her second wicket. Initially, the decision was given not out by the on-field umpire and then India went for the DRS. On the DRS it was confirmed that the ball had hit her gloves and thus it was given out.
