The 6th edition of the IT conclave ‘e-Revolution’ would be organised at Hotel Mountview in Chandigarh on September 29-30. The conclave would focus on transforming the region through extensive adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) both in the government as well as private sectors, especially the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) segment.

The conclave would focus on the next big areas in technology and the new generation marketing tools like Web 2.0, and other social media, impact of 3G mobile applications on mBanking, mCommerce and mGovernance. These would not only empower organisations but also create newer opportunities for startups.

The event is being jointly hosted by UT Administration, Punjab Government and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), with Nasscom and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) as conference partners.

Punjab Infotech MD Rakesh Verma said that ICT is a veritable tool which governments can use for effective management and delivery of citizen services.
