Provides protected id-cards to Delhi Police

Pune based Bilcare Technology, a division of Bilcare will now cater the identification and duty planning to Delhi Police force. The company has developed 'nonClonableID' technology based identity cards for Delhi police force. These cards are highly protected, compact and cannot be duplicated by anybody, including the manufacturers. Authentication of these cards can be done at any place, using Bilcare’s portable electronic reader, company said in a statement.

Speaking about providing this technology to the Delhi Police, Dr. Praful Naik, Chief Scientific Officer, Bilcare said, "This nanotechnology based system is a revolutionary development in security systems. Our aim is to provide absolute, comprehensive and fool proof anti-counterfeiting solutions. . Bilcare’s technology has provided an impregnable security mechanism. This can be authenticated using Bilcare’s BATS Authentication system. " The technology comprises of a nonClonableID fingerprint that can be seamlessly integrated into any supply chain system, providing totally secure and real identification and authentication. It also provides a reliable means for effective track-n-trace and e-pedigree of products across the supply chain - from manufacturer to consumer. The 77,000 Delhi Police force will also wear these identifications powered by this technology. Previously Delhi Police force had been using laminated paper based identity cards which were very prone to duplicity and security breaches. To counteract this Delhi Police has zeroed in on Bilcare’s nonClonable Identity Cards for the entire Delhi Police force.

According to Bilcare, some of the security forces and agencies and leading companies in pharmaceutical, fashion and liquor industry have expressed their desire to adopt this technology. Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) officials have opined that this technology would be very useful for real-time authentication and field reporting.
