Cisco launches advisory services

Cisco, which is into networking solutions worldwide, has announced the launch of advisory services in India at Hyderabad.
 
The company would initially target connected real estate like SEZs, big campuses and the banking and financial services sector besides retail. Later, it would align its technology solutions with customers' business strategy and applications.
 
GB Kumar, senior vice-president (services, sales), Cisco, India and Saarc, on Wednesday said the company was planning to enter 10 engagements in the initial year with a plan to scale up operations of advisory services to a significant level in the next couple of years thereafter.
 
"The role of networking is evolving from mere transfer of data and information to sharing of ideas and creativity," he said.
 
The company aims to help customers identify their specific network requirements and build network capabilities accordingly.
