Cognizant to deploy SAP solution for US firm

Cognizant Technology Solutions announced that Publishers Circulation Fulfillment Inc (PCF), an independent provider of home and office newspaper delivery services in the US, has selected Cognizant to deploy SAP information services-media solution for its internal and external operations.

A company statement said that by leveraging its partnership with SAP and expertise in the SAP NetWeaver platform, Cognizant's information services, media & entertainment practice would deliver end-to-end functional analysis, implementation, and support to PCF.

Media & entertainment industry teams from Cognizant and SAP will work closely with PCF and will target efficiency gains across processes "" from asset management to service delivery "" to improve PCF's business capabilities so that the company can expand its offerings of BPO services to clients in the publishing industry.

Daniel Hennessey, vice-president of information technology, PCF, said that the partnership would revolutionise the way PCF did business, by enhancing the company-wide decision-making and client service through a unified reporting, analysis, and business operations platform.

Headquartered in Maryland (US), PCF distributes over 1.5 million copies per day for over 45 newspaper clients. It has operations in 25 states in the US.
