Dealivore.com, a Hyderabad-based web start-up that offers discount deals on local consumer services like spas, restaurants and car wash, plans to expand to five more cities by March 2011.
Started in March this year, the website works by highlighting one local service as the deal of the day, offering heavily discounted vouchers. These vouchers once bought from Dealivore can be used to pay for that particular service at that provider and would be valid typically for two months. The site features a new deal every day, each of which would be available for buying for 48-72 hours.
According to Satish Madhira, managing director of Icumi Technologies Pvt Ltd, which owns Dealivore, it sells 100 vouchers a day on average. These can be bought by paying online or by ordering a pay-on-delivery hard copy of the voucher. The voucher would be delivered the same day whether online or in hardcopy via courier, Satish said, adding that a big proportion of its users prefer to pay offline.
Information about the deal of the day can be had by subscribing to a free daily sms or email as well as through a toll free telephone line at 60607788. Dealivore's already has over 100,000 subscribers and 200,000 followers on Facebook, according to Satish.
At present, Dealivore is operational in Chennai and Bangalore apart from Hyderabad. It plans to expand to Pune, New Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Mumbai in the next few months, and would add another 20 cities over the next one year.
