Excelsoft Technologies, a provider of e-learning solutions, has set up a new facility, adjacent to its current development centre in Mysore.

The facility has a capacity to accommodate 200 software developers by March 2007. Excelsoft's current development facility in Mysore houses about 300 people.

D Sudhanva, CEO, Excelsoft, said apart from serving overseas customers, the company was actively engaged in supporting universities in India in providing technology-enabled education.

"Several educational publishers, universities and corporates world-wide have benefited from using Excelsoft's e-learning solutions. We are also partnering with educational publishers in India to provide solutions in this sector. The expansion will fuel our future growth plan," he added.

Some of the organisations which use Excelsoft's e-learning solutions include Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), Singapore Polytechnic, Wolters Kluwer, Pearson Education, World Bank and Royal New Zeleand Navy.

Besides Mysore, Excelsoft has a development centre in Hyderabad. Recently, the company won a 'certificate of excellence' from the Karnataka Government for software exports from secondary cities in the state.
