The company will make its BPO debut in the healthcare and human resource (HR) solutions verticals.
The company is expected to make a formal announcement of its BPO foray in the January-March 2004 quarter and implement the same over the next three months.
"We haven't decided on a concrete plan yet but we will have one in place in the next quarter. We will definitely enter the BPO market in the next six months. When we make that foray, we will not start small, scalability is important in this business," said Rusi Brij, chief executive officer, Hexaware Technologies.
Hexaware at present offers IT services in the HR space. It is also geared up to enter the healthcare segment so it foresees synergies between its IT services and BPO businesses.
Hexaware currently partners with PeopleSoft for enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation but it has identified great potential for SAP's ERP in the German market.
Earlier this month, the company inaugurated a near-shore development centre in Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt in Germany.
With a capacity of 60, this centre will provide local development services to customers located in continental Europe.
The company has set up sales offices in France and Australia which will be followed by client-led near shore/onsite development centres in both countries. Hexaware will push up its employee strength from 2,300 to 3,000 in the next 12 months.
For the 2004 fiscal, the company expects a revenue growth of 40 per cent to exceed $102.2 million, and a net profit growth of 10 per cent.
