The first full-fledged campus of Infosys in Thiruvananthapuram Technopark will be opened on February 17. The campus set up in the Phase-II SEZ of the park will be inaugurated by chief minister VS Achuthanandan.
This will be the first software development block of Infosys Technologies in Kerala. The new campus is set up on a 50-acre site. The company has two centres in the Bhavani and Thejaswini buildings of the park in which 1,500 IT professionals are based.
The company had started its operations in Kerala in January 2004 with 50 professionals. The new campus will provide job opportunities for 6,000 professionals. It has a total area of 15 million sft. VS Achuthanandan laid the foundation stone in May, 2007.
