Software giant Microsoft India today launched a new set of solutions for the retail sector, which will help companies manage its points of sale, supply chain and financials.
"Microsoft Dynamics AX is focussed on the retail industry that will help Indian retailers reduce complexity, seize new opportunities and build customer loyalty, all of which are vital in today's evolving retail environment," Microsoft Corporate Vice-President (Business Solutions) Kirill Tatarinov told PTI.
The solution will help enterprises and mid-sized firms in the retail space integrate their point of sale, stores, supply chain, merchandising and financials to enhance business productivity, he added.
The solution, which was launched last year, is available across 18 countries and is being extended to 22 countries this year, including India.
Companies will have to spend about Rs 6 lakh for a licence, while the store management POS device will cost about Rs 24,595.
Microsoft will work with partners to implement the solutions in the country.
The Dynamics business, which comprises offerings to verticals like manufacturing, service-oriented industries, public sector units and wholesale and distribution, garners over $ 1 billion in revenues.
In India, Microsoft has over 1,500 customers, which includes Lilliput, Odyssey and Satya Paul.
