The second list of information technology (IT) vendors for the ambitious Rs 50,000-crore Restructured-Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) by the government of India was released today. The IT component of this programme is Rs 10,000 crore.

Mumbai-based Patni Computer Systems and Spanco have been qualified to bid for the programme as system integrator along with two other companies. For Patni, this would be an important step as the company very recently forayed into the domestic segment.
