TAKE Solutions testing waters in Indian retail SCM space

"Indian retail is still evolving from stage-I (companies making shopfronts better) to stage-II (managing better optimisation). We expect to see more action and enormous response to our SCM products in 2009-10 when retail companies start moving to stage-III (deploying solutions for movement optimisation)," he told Business Standard.

TAKE Solutions, which so far focused on the FMCG sector in India, currently works with six retail chains in the US and an equal number in West Asia.

It has 18 SCM products including those that work on handheld devices for two activities in retailing
