Technopolis poised for big leap

| Speaking to Business Standard, George Muthoot, director, Muthoot Pappachan Group, said that with global companies like Sutherland coming in, Technopolis is now on the road to having a strong presence on the IT map of the world. |
| The Technopolis, built strategically in the Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), is the state-of-the-art IT Park designed by Jurong of Singapore. The nine-storey complex with a total built-up space of 3,55,000 sft offers all plug-and-play facilities to the companies setting up shop here. |
| According to Muthoot, companies coming up in Technopolis are automatically entitled to concessions and other sops. He said that of the nine floors, six would be totally dedicated to office space, while the remaining would house facilities like a roof-top restaurant, gymnasium, travel desks, ATMs, banks, library and retail outlets. |
| The facilities, which the Muthoot Pappachan Group, promoters of the Technopolis, offers to companies that wish to open shop include means for savings on overheads such as power and connectivity costs. Besides, it also offers the required facilities at 35 per cent lower cost. |
| George expressed the hope that more global firms would head for Technopolis very soon. Sutherland has already taken up the first floor of the complex. |
| Further, the group is also mulling expansion of its infrastructure by constructing another complex on the lines of the existing Technopolis, he added. |
| With around two acres of land more to be allotted soon, the group has lined up plans to set up Technopolis"�II here. George, however, does not rule out options of having such a complex on the group's own land sometime in the future. |
