Vodafone Essar is likely to launch its third-generation (3G) mobile telephone services across cities from today.

The company has already begun its campaign in this regard, as part of the ICC World Cup series, and is ready to launch 3G technology in two circles in the next seven days.

Vodafone had said it would go for a phased rollout of 3G services, and launch it in all the circles where it got a licence by the end of March.
