IT peripherals company WeP Peripherals has tied up with Maini Group, a manufacturer of electric cars under Reva brand, to offer mobile services to customers as part of an environment friendly initiative.

The WeP branded Reva cars will now be used as mobile service centres. "As an electronic manufacturer, WeP is environment conscious. We conform to RoHS (restrict the use of hazardous substance). The tie-up with Reva is another step towards the green cause from WeP," said WeP Peripherals MD & CEO Ram N Agarwal on Wednesday.

He pointed out that WeP, earlier, had formulated a green strategy to enter into remanufacturing of IT hardware products. "We have commenced this activity and IT consumables like print head and toner cartridges are being remanufactured to reduce IT waste," he added.

In addition to this, WeP has entered into an agreement to give its waste to Pollution Control Board authorised electronic waste recycler.

The company also supplies impact printers, high speed printers and line matrix printers. Its manufacturing plants are located at Mysore and Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh).
