Fire at Ceat's raw material unit in Mumbai plant

There was a major fire incident at the raw material store of Ceat’s Bhandup plant in Mumbai.
Ceat, a tyre manufacturer and the flagship company of the RPG group, has informed BSE that the fire had not caused any major damage to the plant or its machinery. “The company is in the process of ascertaining the cause of the fire and also the extent of loss,” it added.
 
While the manufacturing operations have been temporarily suspended in the plant, Ceat is trying to resume the production at the earliest.
